Balchik town

Palace and Botanical Gardens

This 1920’s jewel was built for the Romanian Queen Marie and is a must see for anyone visiting the area with more than 2,000 species of carefully selected species and a combination of architectural styles. There is an entrance fee for the gardens and another for the palace. Wine tasting is also avilable for 30 BGN / person. 

 

Truffle Hunting Tours

Famed for its truffles, 7km from Balchik you can experience truffle hunting with specially trained dogs followed by a gourmet tasting of high class 'Thracian Truffles'. Duration is 1hr 30min. Visit the website here
